2017 Communications Re-Launch Opportunities

With a vigorous and vibrant new effort in our 29th year of serving the North Columbia region, the Eau Claire Community Council is re-launching our communications. Please consider becoming a part of this exciting endeavor.

Here’s a quick overview of who we are, what we’re doing now, and how you can participate to gain mutual benefit through our community engagement programs:
• Free calendar listings (nonprofits/agencies)
• Free resource library listings (nonprofits/agencies)
• Sponsored web pages, logo placements, advertising, promotion (open to all)

Our executive director Henry Hopkins, our president Christie Savage, our board of directors, and our many other volunteers offer decades of dedicated service.

Strong Vision:
The Eau Claire Community Council works to unite, empower, and lead people who live, work, worship, study and play in North Columbia.
Strong History: Established in 1988, the Eau Claire Community Council (ECCC) convenes approximately 40 neighborhoods located in northern Columbia and Richland County, South Carolina. Areas served by the Council are known as Eau Claire, Uptown, 29203, the North Main Corridor, and North Columbia.
Strong Voice: Providing one voice for the many communities in this vast region, ECCC promotes equitable public services and development funding. In addition, ECCC sponsors many initiatives and programs of our own, including two major annual events: the Eau Claire Festival and the Community Awards Banquet.
Strong Foundation: A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ECCC is headquartered in a renovated bungalow in the heart of Eau Claire.

We’ve re-launched our website with a comprehensive, mobile-friendly, up-to-date new design with new interactive features and content.

Interactive Calendar: Our new community calendar is simple and FREE to use for all nonprofit events, offering 3 familiar levels of access:

  • Admins can make changes to the entire site.
  • Contributors are entrusted to post their own calendar listings and information instantly.
  • Community Users – literally anyone – can submit listings for moderator approval.

To create a calendar listing, all you need to do is fill in blanks and check buttons on a simple form online.

Resource Libraries: Our site features new community resource libraries with comprehensive and up-to-date contact information. Listings here for nonprofits and government agencies are FREE.

The Council’s long-standing community newspaper, previously known as The New Survey, is being re-launched in new format as The Eau Claire & North Columbia Gazette. You can read The Gazette online as well as in the traditional print edition.

Our volunteers are confirming, updating, and expanding all of our contact lists to ensure that everyone who is open to hearing from us is accurately “opted in.” We are actively reaching out via phone, mail, e-mail, and social media.

In appreciation for your financial support of our community-building efforts, the Council offers opportunities to:

  • Place your logo and link on our website
  • Advertise in The Gazette (print and online editions)
  • Create your own Sponsor Page on our website

How do you see yourself participating in this venture? To discuss these options and explore more ideas, please contact:
